OUT_OF_MARKETOut of Market
The game is only distributed within the team's home market DMA(s). The viewer is located outside that territory and has no service providing out-of-market access.
User-facing label: “Not available in your current location”
What This Means for Viewers
Some games — particularly those on local RSNs without national simulcast — are only available to viewers within the team's designated market. If the viewer is outside that DMA and does not have an out-of-market package (e.g., MLB.TV, NBA League Pass), they cannot access the game.
Common Causes
- The viewer follows a team from a different city/region and is outside that team's RSN footprint.
- The viewer recently moved and their DMA no longer matches their followed team's home market.
- The game is on a local RSN with no national streaming distribution outside its home territory.
How to Resolve
- Subscribe to the relevant out-of-market package for the league (e.g., MLB.TV for baseball, NBA League Pass for basketball, ESPN+ for out-of-market NHL).
- Check if the game is also being broadcast nationally — national broadcasts are available regardless of location.
- If the game is on a service with DMA-specific availability, confirm your service region matches the team's DMA.
