The Grizzlies and Spurs sign, leaving one team left

On Thursday, the Memphis Grizzlies announced a multi-year deal making DAZN the exclusive local streaming home for 78 of their 80 regular-season games (plus all four preseason games), with 15 of those also available on the DAZN app and simulcast over the air. The pricing matches DAZN's now-familiar model: $119.99 for a season pass or $19.99 a month, with a seven-day trial, across a broadcast territory that spans parts of seven states.

The Grizzlies follow the San Antonio Spurs, who signed with DAZN last Wednesday. Victor Wembanyama's team will stream all non-national games on DAZN and also put 22 games over the air through a local partner still to be named.

With those two deals, 12 of the 13 NBA teams left homeless by the collapse of the FanDuel regional networks have found a 2026-27 home. Only one is left: the Los Angeles Clippers.

• Over-the-air broadcast: the Hawks (Gray Media), Heat (WPLG), Bucks (MY24), Pistons (Scripps), and Hornets and Magic (both Cox) put their games on local broadcast stations.
• A do-it-yourself hybrid: the Thunder built their own Thunder Gameday Network, combining local broadcast with a Thunder+ streaming service on the NBA App.

What it means for you

A few takeaways as the dust settles. DAZN emerged as the single biggest winner, now the local home for roughly a third of the league at a consistent price (about $120 a season or $20 a month). Most displaced teams put at least a few games back on over-the-air TV, so even the streaming-first clubs aren't entirely behind a paywall. And the same blackout rule applies everywhere: these local packages are for in-market fans, while out-of-market viewers use the NBA's League Pass.
